I am Pharm. Tang’an Zughumnaan Bitrus from Mangu Local Government of Plateau state,

Nigeria. My academic journey spans through the College staff Primary school Gindiri (1997), St.

Joseph’s College Vom (2003) and had my undergraduate studies from the Ahmadu Bello

University Zaria (2011).

I am a consultant clinical Pharmacist of the West African Postgraduate college of Pharmacist

wherein I serve as a residency preceptor to college students and currently work at the Federal

Teaching hospital Gombe, Nigeria. I am the Pharmacist lead in the Antimicrobial Stewarsdhip

and Infection Prevention committee of the hospital. My work schedules also include an adjunct

clinical Pharmacy preceptorship with the Gombe state university Gombe, Nigeria.

My research interests are in antimicrobial stewardship in Infectious Diseases, Tropical Diseases

and infectious Diseases of poverty. As a master’s student in Public Health, I am also interested

in implementation researches.

My extracurricular engagements involve serving as a member of the Infectious diseases

Pharmacist of Nigeria an arm of the Clinical Pharmacist Association of Nigeria in which I am the

Gombe state secretary and chairman of its Think Tank and strategy committee. I also lead its

clinical mentorship programme. My faith based stewardship include serving as the chairman of

the Christian Pharmacist fellowship of Nigeria Gombe state and secretary at the Hospital

Chapel, Federal Teaching hospital Gombe.

I am happily married to my wife Bulmun with three children, Kwoopnaan, Leyitnaan and

Cinzeen. I reside in Gombe metropolis from where I render my clinical and community services.
