#Pillars

Our Key Pillars in Person-Centered, HIV Research.

At the Person-Centered HIV Research Team, we are dedicated to placing individuals at the heart of our research efforts. Our work is structured around six key pillars:

Holistic Care

We emphasize a comprehensive approach to HIV care that addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of individuals. Our research explores integrated care models that improve overall well-being and quality of life for people living with HIV.

Community Engagement

Engaging with communities is central to our research. We actively involve individuals and groups affected by HIV in the research process to ensure our work is relevant, respectful, and responsive to their needs and perspectives.

Stigma Reduction

We address the stigma and discrimination associated with HIV through our research. By understanding and mitigating these barriers, we aim to create more supportive environments for individuals to seek care and live openly.

Empowerment and Education

We believe in empowering individuals with knowledge and resources. Our research includes educational initiatives that inform people about HIV prevention, treatment, and their rights, fostering greater autonomy and engagement in their own care.

Tailored Interventions

Recognizing the diversity of those affected by HIV, we develop and test interventions that are tailored to specific populations. Our goal is to create personalized strategies that are effective for different communities, cultures, and individual circumstances.

Patient-Centered Outcomes

Our research prioritizes outcomes that matter most to people living with HIV. We focus on measures such as quality of life, mental health, and social support, ensuring that our findings translate into meaningful improvements in everyday lives.
