I am an experienced medicines regulator and public health professional; with vast experience in research, policy, advocacy, public-private partnerships, curriculum development, and capacity building. Upon retirement as Director of the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria, I am managing a start-up Global Centre for One-Health Research Advocacy and Innovation. I am active in the ongoing global conversations on reducing Zero-Dose children for immunization in Nigeria, Uganda, and Bangladesh.

After completing my pharmacy degree in 1988, from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka (Second Class, Upper Division), I obtained MSc and PhD degrees in Public Health from the University of Lagos and the University of Central Nicaragua, respectively. I hold MSc in Biotechnology Innovation and Regulatory Sciences from Purdue University, USA, a Fellowship from the West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacists which conferred on me, the pharmacist consultant cadre. I also hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Pharmacy Advanced Training and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health System Management, from the University of Kilimanjaro and Galilee College, Israel, respectively. I have academic and experiential exposure to product logistics and supply chain management, public health research, advocacy, policy, and strategic planning. I am an Associate Editor with the Pharmacy Education Journal of the International Pharmaceutical Federation. Apart from my peer-reviewed publications, I coordinated and edited a 928-page Textbook on Public Health Pharmacy, authored by 32 subject matter experts, including myself; published by the University of Lagos Press. This is the first textbook of Public Health Pharmacy in Sub-Saharan Africa. I love traveling, winning competitions, and charity.
