Delafrida Ukaga
MemberDelafrida Ukaga is a public health practitioner with extensive years in project management, strategic planning, program design and implementation and research. Her experience spans HIV/AIDS prevention and care, COVID-19 implementation, community health, private-public sector partnership, sexual and reproductive health, sustainable development goals, market shaping and consumer-powered care.
Skilled in business case development, research writing, development of total market approach strategies, use of human-centred design to solve health-related challenges, implementation science approach including application of RE-AIM framework and translation and synthesis of program learnings for scale-up.
Delafrida has provided support in HIV/AIDS and TB prevention and care services. Specifically, her capacity was built and strengthened in HIV case-finding approaches, HIV self-testing approaches, and client care management. Since March 2021, Delafrida has been working with the Society for Family Health Nigeria on various program interventions to address health needs including family planning and Primary healthcare services for children under five.
Delafrida has published papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented abstracts at national and international conferences. She holds a master’s degree in Public Health and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. Currently, she is a Mastercard Foundation Scholar studying Global Challenges at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom.
