Ayeni Ahuoyiza Racheal
MemberAyeni Ahuoyiza Racheal is a dedicated public health researcher and advocate with a strong focus on disease prevention, control, and health equity. Born in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria, she has always been passionate about improving health outcomes in underserved communities. Ayeni is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at Lead City University while contributing significantly to the field of public health research.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Kwara State University, where she developed a deep interest in epidemiology, infectious diseases, and health systems. Ayeni’s academic journey led her to become an integral part of the Severe
Typhoid in Africa project at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan, where she conducts vital research on the prevalence and economic impact of severe typhoid fever in Ibadan. Her work is not only contributing to the global understanding of this pressing issue but is also pivotal in developing actionable strategies for disease prevention and control in low-resource settings.
Ayeni's professional achievements are noteworthy. She has peer-reviewed and co-published several papers, collaborating with leading researchers in public health. She has also spearheaded community advocacy programs focused on raising awareness about sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in low-resource communities, working to reduce stigma and promote safer sexual health practices.
In addition to her academic and professional accomplishments, Ayeni is a member of the Person-Centered HIV Research Team. When not immersed in her research, Ayeni enjoys reading, finding inspiration and knowledge in books that fuel both her personal growth and professional aspirations. With a clear commitment to advancing public health and improving lives, Ayeni continues to be a rising voice in the public health space.
