Amarachukwu Emmanuella Ugwu
InternAmarachukwu Emmanuella Ugwu is a Pharmacist and a Research enthusiast with a Bachelor of
Pharmacy degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and has a good foundation in Research works
while still developing her Data analysis and Manuscript writing skills. She has a strong passion towards
contributing immensely to the advancing outcomes in global health and health research fields with a
particular interest in HIV. Due to this unwavering interest in HIV field, she was able to take a step and
begin her research journey under the guidance of the distinguished Dr. A. Isah of the Department of
Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Management, University of Nigeria Nsukka and with the enabling
environment provided by the Person-Centered HIV Research Team (PeCHIVReT) of which she is a
member.
By focusing in HIV research, Amarachukwu aims at discovering strategic means of putting an end to the
social discrimination and stigmatization experienced by individuals living with HIV while contributing in
researches that promotes Person centered care and development of a cure.
Amarachukwu’s contributions and involvements in Community and Health outreaches not only proves
this passion to be true but also portrays her true dedication towards seeing a world free of HIV
stigmatization and discrimination; A world where people living with HIV feel accepted and cared for. She
seeks networking, collaborative and mentorship opportunities to help eliminate this social problem in
HIV.
In her spare time, she enjoys keeping fit through exercises, reading novels and exploring journals to
identify research gaps in HIV and develop projects that meet these research needs, hence contributing
immensely to the HIV Research body.
